Music is an essential part of human existence. Every culture across the globe, since records began, has had some form of music central to its society. There’s even research to suggest that it’s fundamental to our survival as a species. It has the power to bring us together, regulate our emotions, and point towards things that words are simply incapable of expressing.
The aim of Ambientologist is to provide music that does all these things, and to use it to complement the words of some of the wisest thinkers and meditators ever to grace our planet. In doing so, we hope that the listener can find some new benefit to enrich their life and develop their mind, the talker can have their message respectfully shared, and the artist can have their music deservedly promoted.
Words can have immense power, yet the effects of music are comparable to magic. We invite you to join the Ambientologist family, and together we can put this magic to good use.

Hey, what's with the commercials? While Alan Watts is speaking?
Hi, I had no idea there were ads switched on for this video! I do not monetise this channel, so either someone has claimed some of the content and done so themselves, or UA-cam have done it. This is very disappointing to hear as you're right, there should absolutely not be any commercials while Alan Watts is speaking :(
I listen to Alan Watts every chance I get. He was such a a wise and wonderful man. He was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor. He is missed, but fortunately he left us with an abundance of knowledge. Thank you so much.❤❤❤

Lmao, you're exactly right. The only difference is you dont get it.
@@boozycruze7679well of course. It’s supposed to be. How could you say God?
@underthecanopy1093 his level of awareness isn't ready it's ok
That music was so loud and distracting. It stopped me from listening.
Soothing and beautiful.. great work here!
I wish there wasn't any music. Just the wonderful voice and words are all that is needed.
Go one one without music. Don't be so entitled, most of us enjoy the music.

life is meaningless
life holds no inherent meaning for itself which frees us to make our own meanings and missions.
@@TyDyck no one asked for your meaningless opinion

And that non movement is the whole.
I dont think there is a center, there is only a vast space in which you can see the non movement.
We are portions of the Void encapsulated in separate bodies of flesh. The bodies are many, the Void is One. One appearing as Many. The Void is Undivided and Continuous. It's the "Empty" Space. We have forgotten we are the Void ( Empty Space )but think we are our bodies and derived personalities.

Great music.
Perfect music perfect volume

I wish Mark Watts would stop playing music in the background when I am trying to hear what Alan is saying. What prompted that idiot to do that

Came for the meditation and lectures with background music, staying for that and the pure music mixes. So incredible
Aw thanks 😊 It's a shame I don't have time to make them anymore. Though, you can find more mixes on the SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/ambientologist/sets/ambientologist-mixes
I love the music added to these lectures. I wish there were more!
I love how architects integrated this in their song "memento mori"
Fantastic track, and one of my favourite bands since their first album! Didn't realise it was inspired by this talk!
@@Ambientologist yes really nicely put together track, All our gods is their best album by farrrr
@@ornithologydude8649Personally, Lost Forever was game-changing for me - I'd never heard a metal album produced that well.
@@Ambientologist yes I really liked that album, I'd say its their second best. Not a huge fan of their newer stuff, animals and impermanence were good, when we were young was alright, but the rest is really just "meh"
@@ornithologydude8649 Agreed, though Goliath with Simon Neil hits hard for me! Neil's part is particularly ferocious.
I'm reading my childhood diary and listening to this, so I can speak with my therapist
